It’s that time of year to mark your calendars for our annual MD I DAY event to be held Thursday, May 10, 2018. We are steadily working on putting the day’s events together, but are working towards a theme of: This is Not Your Father's Insurance!
The insurance industry is ever changing. We have seen Asbestos, EIFS, Sexual Abuse and Molestation, and Harassment come to the forefront over the last 60 years to disappear again as the next hot topic presents itself. Please keep an eye on the MD Chapter website as we gain more informaiton from the 2018 MD I-Day Committee.

Alfred W. Redmer Jr. was appointed Maryland Insurance Commissioner by Governor Lawrence J. Hogan Jr. in January 2015. He preivous servied as Commissioner from June 2003 until October 2005. He recently managed Redmer Insurance Group LLC and owned Redmer Financial Group. He served 13 years in the General Assemby representing Baltimore County and served two years as the House Minority Leader. At the Maryland Insurance Administration, Commissioner Redmer overseas the independent agency's approximately 266 employees and an annual budget of $26 million.
