In March of this year, Members of the Maryland Chapter of CPCU and the Insurance Roundtable of Baltimore gave a presentation to the Gamma Iota Sigma (GIS) Chapter at Morgan State University to award our annual scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each year to a member of GIS at Morgan State. This year we had several very impressive applicants for the scholarship.
This year the scholarship was awarded to Roshan Ghimire. Roshan is in his Junior year at Morgan State and is studying Actuarial Science.
Anita Lewis, John Thomas and Eric Dana attended the event and presented the check to Roshan. Each of them also gave a short presentation on the benefits of a career in the Insurance Industry to the GIS Chapter.
