06/24/17 11:00am to 2:00pm
101 W 23rd Street
Baltimore,MD

The Franciscan Sisters of Baltimore began their ministry in 1891. They fed the hungry and cared for orphans. Recognizing the dignity of each human being and serving all people with respect were cornerstones of their ministry. The mission of the Franciscan Center is to provide emergency assistance and supportive outreach to persons who are economically disadvantaged in an effort to assist them in realizing their self-worth and dignity as people of God.

MD CPCU Society Chapter needs volunteers on Saturday, June 24, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00  p.m. at the Franciscan Center to help organize and distribute food to Baltimore City Residents.

Franciscan Center

The Center is located at 101 West 23rd Street which is right above North Avenue in between Howard Street and Maryland Avenue. The Center is a 3 story brick building that sits directly behind the BP gas station on Howard. There is an alley that runs behind the gas station called Mace Street and that is the corner that we sit on, 23rd Street and Mace. The entrance is on 23rd Street. There is a green door atop of a small cement staircase at the corner of Mace and 23rd. Press the button on the speaker and someone will let you in. The main entrance for the building is on Mace and will be very crowded at that time so this is the best entrance to the building. There is a bunch of street parking on 23rd Street and is very cheap, .25 cents gets you an hour and 15 minutes.
