With another year comes another crab feast, but this feast had some surprises. We still had a lot of crabs, socialized, networked, and conducted the chapter’s annual meeting, but incorporated a few new things on Wednesday night, June 29 at Ocean Pride.
We had a Silent Auction and held the event in the open air under a big white "cozy" tent. The breeze was icing on the cake, or rather wonderful spices on the crabs! There were 25 in attendance. Just put a few insurance professionals together and you are going to have a great time, eating and providing an ambiance of laughter and talk. What a great time! Once again, with such a perfect formula, it’s not hard to imagine that the event did not disappoint and provided a fun and productive evening.
The cash bar was available at 5:30 and around 6:15 or so began the annual meeting with the Chapter President, Jacklyn McIntosh, CPCU, calling the meeting to order. Barb Lagas, CPCU took the minutes. Jacklyn first thanked the 2016 Platinum Partners that makes 2016 activities and events a success: RCM&D, Harford Mutual, and Travelers. She also thanked the Marketing Department at RCM&D for the poster and the programs. They have done a wonderful job this year. Thank You!!
President Elect Caty Hartley, CPCU, Treasurer Deb Wagener, CPCU, and our Governor Katie Caple, CPCU all presented during the meeting. The Meeting Minutes are available by request, so please contact Jacklyn McIntosh, and she will ask your Secretary, Barb, to send them to you.
Time to Eat!
At the end, we presented the winners their baskets for the FIRST Crab Feast Silent Auction. All but 2 did not get sold, but will either put them on the chapter website, FaceBook, or include in another event. Congratulations to:
