On February 12, 2014, The Maryland CPCU Society Chapter made a presentation to the Morgan State University Chapter of Gamma Iota Sigma, sharing information about the CPCU designation and how to obtain it. Chapter members went into detail about the structure of the program, the various classes offered, structure of exams, methods of study, and more.
Following the presentation a $500 scholarship was awarded to Torrance Allen, an actuarial science major, who commented in his application "...I would like to thank the person taking their time out to read about a future leader in the insurance industry."
